The pen works well for drawing and writing in OneNote but the handwriting recognition does not seem to be working. After the handwriting has been converted, you can select, edit, and format the text in any way you want If the original ink strokes in your handwriting were written in a particular pen color, OneNote will automatically format the converted text in the same color. To sovle this, try any of the following: To help OneNote recognize your notes as handwriting, try using lined paper and write between the lines Click or tap Ink to Text to convert your handwriting selection to typed text. But it does not necessarily translate your handwriting into words successfully The Ink to Text button may also grayed out because OneNote classifies your handwriting as a drawing instead of recognizing it as handwriting. OneNote will convert ink to handwriting from drawing. At first, select the handwriting, right click on them, click Treat Selected Ink As -> Handwriting.
